I'd a 2001 Excursion and loved it. I've kids, parents, horses, etc. and contains always labored well. Love the automobile but have experienced lots of issues with the 2005 model. Wish they'd return to old engine. Lots of issues with exhaust. It is incorporated in the shop now and i'm torn, keep fixing problems or buy Suburban. Hate that idea. Miss old Excursion, allows rebuild that certain and return to track!

I'd wanted an Excursion given that they first arived around the showroom floor. I finally got one nine years later, like a alternative for 2 automobiles. It now takes the area of my Lincoln subsequently Town Vehicle along with a 4wd 15 passenger van, that was a tough factor to complete. I needed all of the luxury in a vehicle much like my Lincoln subsequently Cartier, the area, rugedness, and 4wd go anywhere of my van. It's changed both of them with flying colors, making me happy. It's very comfortable and ride hieght is excelent. I personally use this vehicle for work, family and play.

Unlike the Towncars little if any road and wind noise. Most miles are annual outings between Florida and Nj. Loaded towards the roof, it's a lot more than sufficient energy. At 14,062 every factor of it's reliable and supporting much better than every other vehicle I've possessed.

We bought some (2) 2005 Ford Excursion Limited's using the 6.0L turbo diesel. We exchanged inside a pair (2) of Volvo's. With three (3) growing kids and a lot of gear, the Volvo's just couldn't carry the loads without likely to roof shelves. The diesel Excursion is really a treat. A lot energy, a lot room, a lot safety. selected againt Chevrolet/ GMC, Basket because we like Ford diesels given that they run much more powerful and longer. Plus, individuals are more compact inside. If only Ford would revisit making the Excursion. We bought two (2) from the 2005 model using the Limited package. We'll replace the engines when they ever require it, using the new up-to-date Powerstroke based in the 2009 Super Duty pick-ups.
